Youth Hostels:

Reservations Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The Malta YHA feels that in order to be fair to members they should first physically see the premises they want to stay in before actually opting to stay in one particular hostel. This cannot be done when a reservation is made from thousands of kilometres away. This has to be coupled with the fact that the perception of what one expects to find will not agree with what one actually finds even though the association's administration assures minimum services (see on the page about Pawla MYHA Hostel) at international standards. At the same time the association understands that members want to have an assurance that they have a bed waiting for them. In view of this the Malta YHA is basically AGAINST reservations. But if a person is ready to accept the conditions as the Malta YHA sees them fit to be offered, then it is possible, if a form is filled and signed to this effect, to accept up to a maximum of a reservation for three nights at the Pawla MYHA Hostel.
