MYHA Short-Term Workcamp

The MYHA is a volunteer organization. All MYHA Committee members are on a voluntary basis but the activities are managed and run also by volunteers, activities such as being a hostel organizer, doing office work, doing repairs and maintenance, being mentors and tutors for long-term workcamps, plastering and painting, doing the laundry, activities which carry with them a certificate of appreciation and a list of what was done. The volunteers' stay plus three extra nights before or after the workcamp, in one of the MYHA hostels, is free of charge.

These workcamps need an official work permit and therefore the MYHA needs to receive applications three months in advance.

Short-term workcamps are in periods of two weeks up to two months but, during the first month, one may extend the two months to three while the volunteer is in Malta during the workcamp.

There is a returnable good faith deposit for every fortnight.
